Scottish police hunting missing woman find body
LONDON, Sep 30 (Reuters) Scottish police searching for a missing Polish woman have found a body hidden in the Glasgow church where she had been staying, police said today.
Student Angelika Kluk, 23, was missing since last Sunday and had been staying at the priest's quarters at St Patrick's Church in the city of Glasgow in western Scotland.
The body was found yesterday at around 2000 hrs after police made a detailed search of the building.
Police said they would not give further details until the body had been formally identified and relatives informed.
Police revealed yesterday that a man seen with Kluk on the afternoon she disappeared had been living under a false identity.
Officers had been seeking him under the name Pat McLaughlin, but he is now believed to be a registered sex offender, 60-year-old Peter Tobin.
Police said Tobin, who had been doing odd jobs at the church for the past six weeks, was a potential risk to the public and advised anyone seeing him not to approach him.
Kluk had been staying at the church while on a working holiday from her university course in Poland.
