Preparations complete for Champion trophy Practice Matches
Chandigarh, Sep 30 (UNI) Preparations are complete for the one-day Champions Trophy Practice Matches among Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Punjab XI teams here.
Bangla Desh Team will play with Punjab XI on October 4, while Sri Lanka Team will play one-day practice match with Punjab XI on October 5, Adviser to the Administrator, Chandigarh Administration, Lalit Sharma said today after taking stock of the preparations.
He said that pactice matches should showcase the ideal preparation and infrastructure needed for international matches.
The teams of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are visiting Chandigarh to play in the ICC Champions Trophy at Mohali and will play practice matches at the Cricket Stadium.
The Stadium can accommodate more than 25,000 spectators including VVIP, VIP and Press Gallery. Upgradation of the Stadium has been completed and new Score Board is likely to be placed within two days.
Security, traffic, hospitality, parking, invitation passes and water arrangements were reviewed in the meeting. CTU will run special buses for the occasion.
