Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra clinch titles

Kozhikode, Sep 30 (UNI) Defending champion Kerala defeated Karnataka 2-0 to clinch title in the women section of the 62nd Inter State (South Zone) Badminton Championship 2006 held at the V K Krishna Menon Indoor Stadium here today.

In the men's section Karnataka defeated Andhra Pradesh 3-2. In junior boys category, Andhra Pradesh beat Kerala by 2-0.

In junior girls section Karnataka defeated Kerala 2-0.

Kerala Sports Minister M Vijayakumar presented trophies -- Chadha Cup, Rehmatulla Cup, Narang Cup and Shafi Qureshi Cup -- to the winners.
