K Retnan elected Indian Chamber president

Kochi, Sep 30 (UNI) Mr K Retnan of city-based Scansea Services has been unanimously elected president of the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for 2006-07.

Mr Retnan was elected at the 109th annual general meeting of the chamber held here yesterday under the chairmanship of outgoing president Balagopala B. Pai.

Mr R Mohandas was unanmiously elected vice-president, a chamber release said here today.

Mr Anilkumar N Prabhu, Mr K S Sabu, Mr N Radhakrishnan, Mr Sadiq H Kapasi and Mr Shiv Kumar Agarwal were also elected to fill vacancies in the 28-member managing committee.
