Iran's Kordmahale sets a new meet record

New Delhi,Sep 30 (UNI) Iran's Reza Moghaddam Kordmahale set a new meet record in the U-18 Hammer event on the second and last day of the AFI-Salwan International Throws competition here today.

Kordmahale's best throw of 66.25 came in his fourth attempt while local boy Amit Kumar Singh also bettered the existing meet record with a throw of 64.73,which he achieved in his sixth and last attempt.

Bulgaria's Discus thrower Dimitar Vasilev won the gold in (u-18) event when he sent discus to a distance of 52.54 mts.
