Court allows Bhandarkar to visit London from Oct 6
Mumbai, Sep 30 (UNI) A city court today gave permission to filmmaker Madhur Bhandrekar to visit London for five days from October 6.
Bhandarkar, who had obtained anticipatory bail earlier in connection with a case filed by up-and-coming model Preeti Jain in an alleged rape case, moved a miscellaneous application before Additional Sessions Judge M L Tahiliyani seeking court's permission to visit London Earlier, while granting anticipatory bail to him, court had directed him not to move out of the country without its permission.
Preeti, in her complaint, alleged that she was raped by Bhandarkar over 16 times on the pretext of giving her a lead role in a film, but he did not keep his promise. However, Bhandrekar denied all the charges she had levelled against him.
The police had earlier arrested Preeti Jain, along with one Naresh Pardeshi, who had taken ''supari''(contract) from Preeti for eliminating Bhadarkar in September last year for their alleged involvement in a conspiracy to kill Bhandarkar.
