Brown sugar worth Rs 2 crore seized

Arrah, Sep 30 (UNI) Police here today seized brown sugar worth Rs two crore and arrested five smugglers from separate places in Bhojpur district.

District Police Superintendent Umesh Kumar Singh said acting on a tip off a police team conducted a raid at Krman Tola under Nawada police station area and Kashap village area here.

He said about three kg of brown sugar were recovered during the raid and five smugglers were arrested.

Police is apphrending a huge racket involved in this and the arrested smugglers were being interrogated.
