Azad urges better coordination between security forces and public
Jammu, Sep 30 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad lauded the army and urged them to strengthen the coordination between the security forces and public.
He visited Bungam in Marwah tehsil where 24 houses were gutted in a fire.
Addressing the people of Navapachi in Doda district yesterday, Mr Azad announced Bungam fire victims will be provided free timber and ration better and added the road connectivity in the area will be improved.
He highlighted and lauded the security forces's role in rescue, relief and rehabilitation of people affected by the October 8 earth quake last year.
''The closer coordination between army, police and public should be further strengthened,'' the Chief Minister said.
He said a relief of Rs 10,000, besides tents, utensils and blankets will be provided to the affected people.
The Chief Minister announced that on-the-spot recruitment would be held within a month for recruiting 50 youth each from Marwah and Warwan in the state police besides ensuring their due share of jobs in other departments.
