AGM of Lord Krishna Bank held amid protests
Kochi, Sept 30: The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Lord Krishna Bank (LKB) was held here amid protests by the United Forum of Bank Unions against the proposed merger of the bank with the Centurion Bank of Punjab (CBoP).
The meeting was convened to consider, approve and adopt eight business proposals in the agenda for the financial year 2005-06, including the proposed merger, sources said.
As a group of shareholders opposed the proposed merger, voting was needed on it and it was understood that the result of the voting would be released on October three, sources added.
