6 devotees drown as boat capsises

Lucknow, Sep 30 (UNI) Six devotees drowned, when a boat they were travelling in, capsized in the river Yamuna in Jalauni Khurd village of Jalaun district this evening.

A total of 11 people were aboard and going for 'devi darshan' on the occasion of 'ashtami' when the tragedy took place.

Five persons survived the mishap, police said here.

All the deceased belonged to Auraiyya district in Uttar Pradesh.

Details were awaited.
