3 died during treatment by quack

Chhatarpur(MP), Sep 30(UNI) Three people, including a woman, died and another was in a serious condition after they were given certain injection by a quack at a village in Chhatarpur district.

Police said four people, suffering from fever and stomach pain, approached Rajendra Khare for treatment at village Gugwara near Buxwaha in this district on Thursday. They were given two injections each following which their condition worsened.

While the four were being taken to Jabalpur medical college hospital, Kalla Khangar (35) died on the way and all were brought back to the village. Subsequently, Kanhai(20) also died at the village.

The remaining two were hospitalised at Sagar, where Ms Siyarani Lodhi(32) died yesterday. The condition of Chhota Ahirwar(45) was stated to be critical.

Since the quack was absconding, police broke open the clinic and recovered empty ampules and other medicines stocked there.
