Vikram Bakshi elected as NRAI President
New Delhi, Sep 29 (UNI) National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) today elected McDonalds India (North) JVP and Managing Director Vikram Bakshi as its president for a period of three years.
''The crucial task in front of us is to understand our large collective strength encompassing the vast number of restaurants across India,'' Mr Bakshi said.
We need to comprehend the opportunities lying with us and channelise our resources to change the perspective of policy makers towards our key issues, Mr Bakshi added.
Nirula's Managing Director Samir Kuckreja was elected as Vice President of NRAI, while Essex Farms Director Sandep Goyle and Sr Consultant- Corporate Affairs Pradeep Kuckreja were chosen as Secretary and Joint-Secretary-Treasurer respectively.
The issues, addressed by the association included packaging norms, PFA problems, problem of multiplicity of societies asking for license fee for playing music in restaurants, closure timing of restaurants and other excise related problems etc affecting the growth of the industry.
NRAI is one of the leading associations of the restaurant industry which aims to represent, educate and promote exclusively the independent restaurant owners and operators (organised and unorganized sector) in the country.
