ULFA attacks again, six injured
Guwahati, Sep 29 (UNI) At least eight people were injured today when suspected ULFA militants threw a grenade at a crowded Tinsukia market, about 600 km from here.
The grenade exploded in the Super market where thousands of people were on a last night marketing spree, police said The militants came on motorcycle and threw the grenade, police added.
The injured were rushed to Tezpur civil hospital.
This was the second ULFA attack after resumption of Army operation in the state following the failure of peace process.
The intelligence reports had suggested that ULFA would be intensifying their attack on common people immediately after the puja, sources said.
Meanwhile, a similar attack at Digboi had injured six people and had sent shock waves across the area marring the festive mood.
