SR announces special trains, new weekly express

Chennai, Sep 29 (UNI) The Southern Railway (SR) today announced weekend special trains in the Bangalore-Chennai-Bangalore sector from October six and introduction of a new weekly express between Bilaspur and Chennai.

A release from SR here said the Bangalore-Chennai Central special (Train No 0684) would leave Bangalore at 2130 hrs on Fridays from October six to November 24 and arrive Chennai at 0355 hrs, the next day.

The Chennai Central-Bangalore weekend special (Train No.0683) would leave Chennai Central at 2330 hrs on Saturdays from October seven to November 25 and arrive Bangalore at 0555 hrs, the next day.

Advance reservation for the above trains would commence from tomorrow, the release said.

It said a new weekly express train would be introduced on October one from Bilaspur and October two from Chennai. The train would leave Bilaspur at 0840 hrs on Sundays and arrive Chennai at 2110 hrs on Mondays.

It would leave Chennai at 0915 hrs on Mondays and arrive Bilaspur at 2015 hrs on Tuesdays, the release said. Advance reservation for the new train would commence tomorrow, the release said.

The Souther Railway would also run a special in Chennai Central-Coimbatore Sector to clear extra rush of passengers. The special (Train No 0623) would leave Chennai at 2220 hrs on October two and arrive Coimbatore at 0715 hrs, the next day. Advance reservation for the above train would commence tomorrow, the release added.
