Senior BJP leader Pravin Singh suspended from party

Ranchi, Sep 29 (UNI) The Jharkhand unit of BJP today suspended State Vigilance Board vice-president Pravin Singh for six years following his alleged anti-party activities.

State Party president Yadunath Pandey suspended Mr Singh in the wake of reports given by the party's disciplinary committee, party secretary Ganesh Mishra here said.

He said Mr Singh had been informed about the action taken against him under article 25 of the party's constitution.

Mr Singh was has been alleged of his proximity with the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha(D) president and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi had who left the party this May launching campaign against the previous NDA government led by Arjun Munda.

The unit was under tremendous pressure since last several months regarding Mr Singh's suspension.
