Satyam wins Rs 135cr contract from Punjab and Sind Bank
New Delhi, Sep 29 (UNI) Satyam Computer Services has signed a Rs 135 crore contract with Punjab and Sind Bank (PSB) for the supply, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive Core Banking System (CBS) for the bank.
As per the agreement, the company will provide networking for 500 branches of the bank in addition to providing networking and facility management to its Data Centre and Disaster Recovery Centre.
''We look forward to leveraging on Symsols, the CBS application from System Access, together with our own experience and service delivery capabilities to help Punjab&Sind Bank increase its operational efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance its customer service,'' company's Director and Senior VP (APAC and MEIA) Virender Aggarwal said today.
It is one of the leading system integration engagements that the company will execute on such a large scale, a statement said.
It is the company's first CBS implementation, and one of its largest multi-year Facilities Management projects from the domestic market, it added.
As a result of the agreement, Punjab and Sind Bank is expected to offer anytime banking via the Internet, as well as numerous other options that will enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
