IHCL to open more GenNext Smart hotels in State
Thiruvananthapuram, Sept 29 (UNI) The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) is planning to open more 'GenNext Smart Basics Hotels, aimed to cater to the business community in different parts of Kerala.
Talking to newspersons here Roots Corporation Chief Executive Officer Prabhat Pani said here today that the IHCL had planned to open the hotels in the State, considering its tremendous potential for the innovative category of hotels.
Mr Pani said the Roots Corporation were operating GenNext Smart Basics Hotels for the IHCL.
Kochi also had great potential in opening such business class hotels, considering its vast gwoth of business and tourism, he said at the inauguration of ''Ginger'', the hotel at the Technopark campus.
Mr Pani said the primary objective behind the lauch of these hotels was to provide a superior product offering and consistent experience to travellers, particularly the business class.
He said by the end of the year, Ginger Hotels would be launched in Pune and Durgapur. The company would also open such hotels in Goa, Nasik, Puducherry, Agartala, Tirupur, Varanasi, Pantnagar, Baroda and Ahmedabad, he added.
Kerala Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan opend the first hotel in the State, constructed at a cost of Rs ten crore.
