HC grants anticipatory bail to Vikramjith

Kochi, Sep 29 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today granted anticipatry bail to Vikramjith Singh, Aluva rural ASP, in view of a complaint by his wife Dr Jeslin, alleging breach of trust and harassment.

Justice J M James ordered that if the state police or Maharashtra police arrested Vikramjith, he should be released on bail on executing bond for Rs 25,000 with two solvent sureties for like sum.

During the hearing of anticipatory bail, Prosecution Director General submitted that in order to enable the Vikramjith to appear before the Pune Court, he should be released on bail.

Yesterday, the court had directed Mr Vikramjith and his wife Dr Jesline to appear before the court today. But the counsel for the complainant submitted that Dr Jesline was in Punjab and the relatives were trying to reach an amicable settlement.

The Court also added that the result of conciliation should be reported to the court on October four.

Dr Jesline, daughter of Punjab DGP filed the complaint before the Kerala DGP and the Pune Magistrate Court.
