Foreign militant killed, arms seized in north Kashmir

Baramulla, Sep 29 (UNI) Security forces killed a foreign militant and seized arms and ammunition in north Kashmir since last evening, official sources said today.

They said security forces killed a foreign militant in a gun-battle at Dooruswani in Kupwara district early today.

The encounter ensued after a search party was attacked by ultras, the sources added. An AK rifle was seized from the possession of the slain ultra.

In a search operation, security forces seized four AK rifles, one pistol, five hand grenades and 126 rounds from a militant hideout in Machil sector late last night while two AK rifles, two pistols, one wireless set and 243 rounds were seized last evening at Bagwal forest in Kupwara district.
