DNA report proves dacoit's death, says police

Bhopal, Sep 29 (UNI) Police today claimed to have sloved the mystery behind death of dacoit leader Dayaram Gadaria with the DNA and photo imposition report confirming it.

Gwalior Range Inspector General of Police Sarbajit Singh said the Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD), Hyderabad had confirmed that the skeleton recovered from the forest in Shivpuri district on August 16 this year belonged to dacoit Dayaram.

The police had an encounter with dacoit Dayaram, who carried a reward of Rs 5 lakh, in Majhera forest in Shivpuri district on August 5. Though blood samples were recovered from the spot, police could not recover the body. However a skeleton was found a little distance away on August 16.

The blood samples collected from the spot were matched with that of Dayaram's son Kamlesh, brothers Gopal and Balkishan and sister Ramshri.
