DMK warns stern action against "rebel candidates in LB polls

Chennai, Sept 29 (UNI) The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) today warned stern action against ''rebel candidates'' who filed nominations for the October 13 and 15 Local body elections in Tamil Nadu.

Party General Secretary K Anbazhagan, in a statement here, said that the party headquarters received information that some partymen have filed papers against the official candidates and against the candidates fielded by the alliance parties.

If they failed to withdraw their papers tomorrow, they would be expelled from the party, Mr Anbazhagan warned.
