DISH TV announces new pricing structure for festive season
New Delhi, Sep 29 (UNI) Dish TV, the country's first DTH provider, today announced an exciting pricing structure for the Diwali festival bonanza - "Pay for Welcome and Watch Maxi", starting October 1.
The subscribers will enjoy 125 channels of Dish Maxi package available at Rs. 300 at the price of Dish Welcome package that costs Rs 180. The offer is valid till October 31.
''However, subscribers who buy the Dish TV connection during the month of October will enjoy the channel of Maxi package till December 31,'' Dish TV said in a statement.
Also from January 1, 2007, the subscribers will have the freedom to stay at welcome package or upgrade to maxi package, if desired so.
The pricing of Dish Maxi package will remain unchanged even post-December 31, 2006 while the welcome package will be increased slightly but not more than Re 1 per day.
The first time purchase as the festival offer for North India is Rs 2890 for CPE (Customer Premises Equipment), Rs 200 as installation charges and Rs 180 as subscription rate.
For South India, the pricing structure is Rs 2890 for CPE, Rs 200 as installation charges and Rs 160 as subscription rate.
The subscription will be charged for the first three months on a pre-paid card worth Rs 440.

Along with this festive offer, Dish TV also reinforces One-Year-Warranty on all Set Top Boxes (STBs), which means that any technical fault in the STB will be taken care free of cost for 12 months from the date of purchase.
Currently, Dish TV, an Essel Group company, offers more than 160 channels, including all the popular cable channels and some exclusive channels with 1.5 million subscribers across the country.
Dish TV is also the pioneer in launching value added services in the country, which include Interactive Gaming, Digital Video Recorder, Movie on Demand, Multi Audio Feed, Interactive TV and Electronic Programme Guide.
