Balasaheb asks party MPs and MLAs not to go on foreign jaunts
Mumbai, Sep 29 (UNI) Shiv sena Chief Balasaheb Thackeray has asked all the Sena MLAs, MLCs and MPs not to go on foreign junkets without his permission.
''When Maharashtra was facing the financial crisis due to floods and farmers were committing suicides how one can go on foreign junkets on the State government's expenditure,'' Mr Thackeray said, in a statement that appeared in Shiv sena mouthpiece Saamana today.
Mr Thackeray is the Editor of Saamana.
It may be mentioned that 42 legislators from all the parties are going on a foreign junket from Tuesday.
Mr Thackeray said,''I warn all the elected representatives that no one should go on any such junket without my prior permission.'' He further advised that if the legislators are interested in making the study tours, they should tour entire Maharashtra and raise various burning issues in the state.
