3-day Dussera Festival in Kolhapur from tomorrow

Kolhapur, Sep 29 (UNI) A three-day ''Dussera'' festival, organised by the State Government, will commence here from tomorrow.

The festival, to be inaugurated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, is being organised by the district administration and the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation to promote tourism in Kolhapur, district collector Pravin Darade said.

Film actress Hema Malini will be performing the ''Mahalaxmi'' ballet dance on the inaugural day, he said.

On the second day, a wrestling contest, a ''lavani'' competition, and traditional kolhapur art and games will be held. On the concluding day, play back singer Suresh Wadkar will present a programme, he added.
