Sensex moves up by 22 points in opening move
Mumbai, Sept 28: The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensitive Index (Sensex) today opened 22 points in the green at 12,388.66 amidst strong volatility, however all the factors like global markets, crude price and investor sentiments were positive.
Currently the sensex is trading up 47.64 points at 12,414.55.
Amongst the sectoral indices on BSE, there were few declines. IT was down by 0.40 per cent, Teck down by 0.44 per cent and Capital Goods was down by 0.37 per cent and the gainers were Bankex up by 2.00 per cent, and PSU up by 0.56 per cent.
Major gainers on the BSE-30 index were HDFC, Ranbaxy, ICICI, ONGC, SBI, HDFC, Cipla, ACC, HLL and Hindalco all up between 0.41 to 3.68 per cent.
Besides the losers were L&T, Dr Reddys Lab, TCS, Satyam, Maruti, Reliance Communications, Bharti Airtel, ITC, Tata Motors and Gujarat Ambuja all down between 0.43 to 50.72 per cent.
