Witness in Nitish Katara case turns hostile

New Delhi, Sep 27 (UNI) Rohit Gaur, the brother of Sheetal Gaur, and one of the witness in Nitish Katara murder case has turned hostile, resiling from his statement made on September 13.

According to the prosecution, Rohit said, neither did he inform nor gave any statement to the police on the day of his sister, Sheetal's marriage.

He also denied seeing Nitish taking food or talking to Vishal and Vikas. He further added that he did not see Vikas and Vishal taking Nitish in the same car. Rohit also emphasised that he never told police that Bharti Yadav and Nitish were close friends.

According to the public prosecuter, Rohit Gaur was resiling from his statement made earlier to the police, and can be tried under section 139 of Criminal Procedure Code.
