varsities, intellectuals play role in census

Hyderabad, Sep 27 (UNI) Universities and Intellectuals could play a significant role in interpreting and analyzing objectively the data collected by the Census Department, said Principal Secretary of the State A K Parida.

He was delivering the inaugural address at a workshop on 'Census Data Dissemination' organised by the Directorate of Census Operations, Andha Pradesh here today.

He suggested the Census department should give the collected data to universities for scholars, professors and intellectuals instead of keeping it in cold storage.
