Unidentified dacoits loot Rs 25,000, jewellery from house

Bhopla, Sep 27 (UNI) Unidentified dacoits looted Rs 25,000 besides 25 'tola' jewellery from a house in Vidyanagar area of the state capital early today, police said.

Superintendent of Police Anant Kumar Singh said the robbers entered into Mr Ajay Khandelwal's house after opening its metal gates at 0300 hrs.

After tying the hands of Mr Khandelwal, his wife and mother, the dacoits looted Rs 25,000 and jewellery.

However, the dacoits did not ill-treat Mr Khandelwal's two children and locked the room from outside before fleeing.

More than half dozen dacoities had been reported in the state capital in the recent past. However, police had failed to resolve even a single case.
