UBL Sales opens first office in Bangalore

Bangalore, Sep 27 (UNI) UBL Sales Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of UTI Bank, today opened its first office in the city.

UTI Bank Executive Director S Chatterjee told reporters here that UBL Sales would market asset products such as retail loans and credit cards of UTI Bank. It would be launching its operations in 42 locations across the country by March next year, hiring around 3,500 sales staff.

UBL Sales would set up an effective sales model that would attract better quality of sales personnel, optimise sales force productivity and provide better control and monitoring of the sales efforts, he said.

Mr Chatterjee said UTI Bank, by way of its nationwide presence and considerable retail customer base, was in a position to offer and cross sell various retail products to its existing customers.

The creation of the new company was in alignment with UTI Bank's strategy to provide a significant thrust to the sales of its retail asset products and establish itself as a significant player in the retail financing segment, he said.
