Three pairs of trains resume service to North Bengal

Kolkata, Sep 27 (UNI) Sealdah-Varanasi Express (3133 Up) and Howrah-Gaya Express (3023 UP) will start running from today and Howrah-Malda Janasatabdi Express (2065 Up/2066 Dn.) will resume its journey from tomorrow.

These trains had to be cancelled as water from Brahmani river overfolowed a railway bridge between Swadinpur and Nalhati on Rampurhat-Nalhati section of Eastern Railway's Howrah Division.

Four pairs of other trains--Howrah-Malda Town Intercity Express (3011 Up/3012 Dn), Gandevta Express (3017 Up/3018 Dn), Howrah-Darbhanga Passenger (209 Up/210 Dn), and Howrah-Rajgir Passenger (211 Up/212 Dn), will terminate at Rampurhat and originate from there as down trains.

The 3163 Up/3164 Dn Sealdah-Saharsa Hatey Bazare Express will remain cancelled today.

Eastern Railway will run EMU special trains on all days of Durga Puja till midnight in both Sealdah and Howrah divisions to clear the rush of passengers.
