Three boys drown in well in K'taka

Bellary, Karnataka, Sep 27 (UNI) Their attempts to catch fish in a dilapidated well resulted in three boys meeting with a watery grave at Siddharthanagar here today.

Police said the boys, in the age group of 12-14, drowned as they did not know swimming. The incident came to light only after their parents filed a police complaint that they were missing.

While the bodies of two of them were traced, efforts were on to intensify the search for the third body. Expert swimmers were employed and water was being pumped out of the well.

The boys were identified as Srikanth, Srinath and Karthik.
