SR to run special trains on Chennai-Howrah section

Chennai, Sep 27 (UNI) The Southern Railway would run special trains on Chennai Central-Howrah-Chennai Central section to clear the extra rush of passengers in connection with Durga Puja festival.

A Southern Railway press release said here tonight that the trains will leave here at 1000 hrs on September 30, October 7,14, 21 and 28 and reach Howrah at 1355 hrs on the next day.

In its return direction, the trains will leave Howrah at 1550 hrs on October 4, 11, 18 and 25 and reach here at 2005 hrs on the next day.

The trains will stop at Gudur, Nellore, Ongole, Vijayawada, Eluru, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Duvvada, Vijayanagaram Junction, Brahmapur, Balugaon, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Jaipur-Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Balasore and Kharagpur.

Advance reservation for these trains will commence tomorrow, the release added.
