Seats increased in Kerala Medical colleges

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 27 (UNI) The Centre today gave its nod to increase 50 seats each in Kottayam and Thrissur Medical Colleges in the state.

The sanction was given after the Directorate of Medical Education wrote to the Union Health Ministry that necessary steps, including infrastructure development, would be taken up in these colleges, as recommended by the Medical Council of India, a release said here.

The Government would take necessary steps to fill the increased seats within September 30, the release added.
