Rupee strong by three pasie closes at Rs 45.90/USD

Mumbai, Sep 27 (UNI) Indian Rupee today gained three paise to close at Rs 45.90 per US Dollar compared to the previous close of Rs 45.92 /93 per USD, the firmness in rupee is due to strong FII inflow, a money market trader said.

Earlier Rupee opened at Rs 45.93 per US Dollar and in the mid- morning traded at Rs 45.91/92 per USD.

The Reseve Bank of India today fixed the Reference Rate at Rs 45.92 per USD compared to the previous rate of Rs 45.97 per USD.

The performance of Rupee against other currencies however was mixed, against Euro it was down to Rs 58.34 (58.20), against Pound Sterling it was up at Rs 86.85 (86.92), and against Yen it was down at Rs 39.16 (39.37).
