Mumbai, Sep 27 (UNI) Kiran More's eventful stint as chief selector came to an end with former captain Dilip Vengsarkar succeeding him, while ex-captain Kapil Dev took over the reins from former teammate Sunil Gavaskar as Chairman of the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

Meanwhile, Team Pawar was formally re-elected today at the 77th Annual General Meeting held here at the Cricket Club of India here today.

Prof Ratnakar Shetty was today unanimously elected as the new administrative head of the Board. Mr Shetty who was holding the post of executive secretary in-charge, has been appointed in his new job for a term of five years.

The meeting went off smoothly unlike the last two AGMs where the judiciary had to interfere.

The members also chose Dilip Vengsarkar as the new Chairman of the National Selection Committee, replacing Kiran More whose term ended.

In another change in the national selection committee, former India left arm spinner Venkatpathy Raju replaced his South Zone counterpart V Chandrasekhar, who also completed his term.

The other three selectors Sanjay Jagdale (Central), Ranjit Biswal (East) and Bhupinder Singh Sr. (North) retained their places for the next two years.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, BCCI Treasurer N Srinivasan said the meeting passed the amended constitution by which an office-bearer would be elected for a two-year term with a provision of him continuing for another year.

''There were certain objections received from the Cricket Association of Bengal. However, they were withdrawn and the amendments to the constitution were passed unanimously,'' he added.

Mr Srinivasan also said that the Indian cricket board has formed a committee to look into the objections the members have about the ICC Members Participation Agreement for 2008-2015. This committee will look into the reservations the board has about the present format of the Members Participation Agreement.

The committee comprising Lalit Modi, N Srinivasan, Arun Jaitley, I S Bindra and Niranjan Shah would look into the agreement document and suggest acceptable parameters before signing the agreement.

Srinivasan, however, refused to divulge which were the reservations the board had, but said the marketing issues in the agreement were also inclusive of the reservations the board has in the agreement.
