Kohima, Sep 27 (UNI) The NSCN-IM has questioned the legal aspects of intended mineral oil exploration in Nagalim.

They said no such undertakings would be allowed until the Nagas are informed about their benefits along with the terms and conditions.

NSCN-IM had warned the MNCs not to venture into any project before taking legal permission and questioned whether the companies had taken authentic authorisation from the concerned legal authorities.

The release also stated that the national wealth and properties of the Nagas would not be allowed to be exploited without their consent and approval.

It further said all the exploration projects would be taken up in the interest, benefit, proper knowledge and permission of the Nagas.

Any such venture with corrupt practices and benefits for a few vested individuals would be objected, the release said.
