MPEDA to host 3rd Indiaqua at Chennai

Kolkata, Sep 27 (UNI) The Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) under Union Ministry of Commerce will organise the third exposition on Indian aquaculture at Chennai from January 11 to 13, 2007.

The main objective of this event, entitled 'third Indiaqua-2007' is to give more impetus to India's aquaculture sector and augment its production and exports.

The stakeholders, such as farmers, hatcheries, other input supplier machinery manufacturers, seafood processors and the like will put up stalls to highlight the achievements made by the respective sectors, official sources said here today.

Technical sessions on various current topics and matters of interest to the stakeholders will also be held during the three-day event where speakers dealing with the subject would also throw light on the present aquaculture scenario, the sources added.
