JIPMER movement observes stir

Puducherry, Sep 27 (UNI) The JIPMER Anti-Conversion Action Committee formed to protect JIPMER from autonomy observed a fast in front of the government general hospital to press their demands today.

The movement which was constituted under the presidentship of Mr S Balasubramanian, General secretary of the CPI(ML) was demanding immediate dropping of the move to grant autonomus status to JIPMER and provision of Rs 300 crore to maintain it in it's present status, among other things.
