Intex Tech launches DVD players

Bangalore, Sep 27: Intex Technologies (India) Ltd, an IT hardware and electronics company, today unveiled a slew of products in the city, including three models of DVD players, MP3 and MP4 players.

Company Managing Director Narendra Bansal said in a release here that ''Southern India has been showing immense growth in its sales targets and we aim to keep this faith growing in the minds and hearts of our customers. With the new range of products, we aim to expand the existing categories and enable our buyers the choice of quality and value purchase.'' Intex announced that it was targeting a sales revenue of over Rs 12 crore this fiscal from Karnataka. The Southern region had been the company's largest contributor to DVD players' sales. Having touched a figure of 4,000 units in the second quarter, the company now targetted a figure of 10,000 in the next quarter and aimed at being among the top three players in the DVD player segment by 2008-09. To support the increasing demand of its existing and new products range, it proposed to expand the channel network from 40 to 80 during the current year, the release said.
