Hitachi Data Systems appoints Director Channel Development

New Delhi, Sep 27 (UNI) Hitachi Data Systems, provider of application optimised storage solutions and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Japan's Hitachi, today appointed Mr Rahul Guha as Director for Channel Development for the Indian market.

Mr Guha will be responsible for structuring and executing the overall India Partner Plan, and will focus on outlining the partner mix across the enterprise and mid-market segments for Hitachi Data Systems in India.

''We have aggressive goals to meet in the SMB space which makes channels extremely significant for us. Mr Guha's appointment is a step in the right direction in leveraging our extensive resources to the benefit of the company's channel partners,'' said Glen Carroll, acting Channel Chief of APAC, Hitachi Data Systems.

Mr Guha has worked with Symantec (formerly Veritas) wherein he was in charge of distribution and SMB channels across India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Prior to that, he was with Computer Associates as Channel manager.
