Heavy rains likely in Andaman

Pune, Sep 27 (UNI) Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Andman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karanataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep.

They are also likely to occur at isolated places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttarnchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Gujrat, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka.

Dry weather will prevail over west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan.

The south-west monsoon has further withdrawn from the remaining parts of Jammu and Kashmir, entire Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal, remaining parts of Haryana, some parts of west Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan and west Rajasthan.

The south-west monsoon has subdued over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarnchal, Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra, Kutch, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of east Rajasthan.

They were above normal in the remaining parts of east Rajasthan and were normal over Uttarnchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan from where the south-west monsoon has withdrawn.

Very light rains had occurred at isolated places in Sub- Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Kerala.

Rain or thundershowers had occurred at most places in Rayalseema Andaman and Nicobar Islands, at many places in coastal Karnataka, at a few places in Konkan, Goa, Telangana, north interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

They had also occurred at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, west Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujrat, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka.

Dry weather prevailed over Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and Marathwada.
