HC orders recounselling in pvt unaided institutions

Allahabad, Sep 27 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court has directed the Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), Lucknow to conduct recounselling for admission in professional courses in private unaided institutions within 15 days.

Even if seats remain unfilled after counselling, the same be allowed to be filled up by the colleges through a common ad on the basis of 10+2 exam or other qualifying exam including the merit of all India test.

The order was passed by Justice S N Srivastava hearing a writ petition filed by Welfare Association of Technical Associations, UP and others.

They have moved the court alleging that the UP government and UPTU were interfering in the management quota.
