Film theatres remain closed

Machilipatnam, sep 27 (UNI) Krishna district Joint Collector S Suresh kumar today issued orders to close down 11 film theatres in the district as they had violated the cinematography act.

Official sources said the action was due to theatres not having proper facilities like fire protection, sufficient open space and sanitary conditions.

Many of the 11 theatres were in Vijayawada and Gudivada, the sources added.
