Electronic Media Journalists Assn condemn attack

Hyderabad, Sept 27 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Electronic Media Journalists' Association today strongly condemned the attack on the Reporter of +TV9+ and cameramen by the Railway Employees at Vijayawada today.

President of the Association Chandu Janardhan in a statement expressing concern demanded the arrest of the Union leaders who had perpetrated the attack on the media.

He said the TV reporter Mr.Sai and cameramen Seshu and Aravind Reddy were attacked by the leaders of the Union when they were covering the incident of forcibly's collection of some amounts of the bonus, by their union leaders.

He said infuriated over the incident, the media in Vijayawada staged a dharna to protest against the incident.

The Association demanded the General Manager South Central Railway to enquire into the incident and take departmental action against the employees involved in the incident.
