Congress MLA dead

Patna, Sep 27 (UNI) Mobarak Hussain, Congress MLA from Manihari Assembly constituency, today died in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, after a prolonged illness.

He was 56. He is survived by wife, two sons and a daughter.

Mr Hussain, suffering from jaundice and acute diabetes, had been taken to New Delhi about 15 days back for better treatment where he breathed his last this morning.

Earlier, Mr Husain was being treated at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in Patna.

Mr Hussain was elected from Manihari Assembly seat in Katihar district in 1984, 1990 and 2005.

The mortal remains of the departed leader would be flown here by this evening and cremated at Manihari tomorrow.

Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee(BPCC) president Sadanand Singh, its senior leaders Kripanath Pathak, Premchandra Mishra and others have expressed their deep sorrow over the demise of Mr Hussain.
