New Delhi, Sept 27 (UNI) Citing the Justice Joseph Thomas Commission report which held the Indian Union Muslim League and another party responsible for the 2003 communal flareup in Marad resulting in the death of 15 fishermen, the BJP today demanded Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahamed own moral responsibility and resign.

BJP Spokesman Prakash Javadekar said the BJP's demand for getting the incident probed by the CBI had been vindicated by the Justice Thomas Commission, which had named former UDF Minister P K Kunjali Kutti for pressurising the government not to concede the opposition demand for a CBI probe into the killings.

''Mr Ahamed, being an MP from a party accused of perpetrating a crime, has lost moral right to continue in office,'' he said.
