Administration to provide relief in flood affected families

Sahebganj, Sep 27 (UNI) Two military helicopters have been brought by the Jharkhand administration to run the relief work in Barharwa and Patna areas, which were inundated due to incessant rains during the last one week.

More than 500 families of 85 villages had been affected due to the incessant rains in the last few days.

Commissioner of Santhal Parganas Siyaram Prasad Sinha visited the area along with state Chief Secretary M K Mandal yesterday.

Earlier, Mr Sinha held meeting with Mr Mandal, Home Secretary J B Tubid and Relief Commissioner Jayant Mungela and directed the officials to begin the relief work in the affected-areas.
