Venky's India Ltd inks USD 380,000 pact with Globosport
Mumbai, Sep 26 (UNI) The largest fully integrated poultry group in Asia, Venkateshwara Hatcheries, today announced the signing of a USD 3,80,000 deal with tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi's company, Globosport, to co-host the Kingfisher Open ATP tournament, in Mumbai.
''This partnership will go a long way in making the tournament a world class event and also help raise the profile of tennis in India. We are certain that the event will add value to their brand strategy,'' Indian tennis idol and MD of Globosport, Mahesh Bhupati said.
The ATP tournament is slated to be the country's biggest international tennis event involving leading Indian ATP stars like Leander Paes and top seed international players like Tommy Robredo, Mario Ancic, Carlos Moya, Tomas Berdych. The tournament is being held at Cricket Club of India (CCI) from September 25 to October 1, a company release informed.
Venky's sports and research centre is closely working with the Sports Authority of India to enhance the health and nutrition of the athletes for Olympics 2008. The company's state-of-art production facility driven by continuous research and development will develop high nutritional products in remote areas and discover hidden talent across the country, the release disclosed.
Venkys India Limited has a wide range of sports nutritional supplements, designed to suit the nutritional requirement of sportsmen, athletes, body builders and fitness freaks, the release added.
