UP govt misguiding youth: Raj Babbar
Gorakhpur, Sep 26 (UNI) Jan Morcha (JM) leader and actor Raj Babbar today slammed the Samajwadi Party-led Uttar Pradesh government for misguiding the youth, farmers and labourers in the country.
Addressing a press conference here, Babbar claimed there were 5 lakh government vacancies in UP, but chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav was playing 'prank' by distributing unemployment allowance to youth.
Expressing concern over the dismal law and order situation in UP he said, people lacked basic amenities like water and electricity, while criminal activities had also risen in the Mulayam rule.
''UP government is only interested in benifitting industrialists and least bothered about the sufferings of farmers,'' he added.
''In Dadri, where only 300 acres of land was required, 2,500 acres were acquired and farmers were not adequately compensated.'' The actor said Japanese Encephalitis had afflicted eastern UP but the state government failed to take any measures to control the menace.
