Ukraine minister's plane makes emergency landing

KIEV, Sep 26 (Reuters) An aircraft carrying Ukrainian Defence Minister Anatoly Hrytsenko to Albania returned to Kiev and made an emergency landing today after the pilot noticed cracks in a cockpit window, a ministry spokesman said.

''There was serious damage in the outside pane of a double-paned cockpit window,'' Andriy Lysenko said by telephone. ''The pilot noticed it in good time and decided to return to Kiev.'' Lysenko said no one was hurt in the incident aboard a government Tu-134, a Soviet-designed plane frequently used on medium-haul civil flights.
